HypnoBirthing® is a childbirth education programme designed for parents who want to minimise their risks of needing drugs and intervention. We look at birth from a scientific stance and explain why pain is felt in labour and how it can be avoided. We use education, self-hypnosis, relaxation and hypnotherapy to help you achieve a more comfortable birth. HypnoBirthing® women have more confidence in birth and their birthing bodies and therefore have shorter and more comfortable births.
Does it work?
Whilst we cannot promise a pain free labour, we have many clients that report a pain free labour (myself included.) HypnoBirthing® has over 20 years experience and in that time we have helped thousands of women birth comfortably and easily. Why not take a look at our testimonials for our women's own birth experiences. Here are some of our statistics from 2009:
• 58% have no pain relief during labour (national average is 6.5%)
• 18% have an epidural/spinal or general anaesthetic (national average is 33%)
• 15% have a caesarean section (national average is 24%)

Who is it for?
The answer really is anyone and everyone who is planning a natural birth. Whether it's your first baby or your sixth. Even if you have had a previous bad birth experience. HypnoBirthing® teaches you why bad birth experiences happen and helps build your confidence in your birthing body. We tend to find ladies like to start their classes at around 25-30 weeks, however, we have had ladies start at 16 weeks and some have started as late as 36 weeks.
