About Me

“Before attending the course, I wasn't entirely sure what my role would be as my wife's birthing partner. The course helped me understand how to not only support my wife practically and emotionally through the birthing process, but also during her pregnancy and after birth. I felt more aware of the decisions we might need to make during the birth and the choices available to us. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to do all they can to have a positive birth experience.”
Dominic, Warwickshire, First time dad, 2011

“After completing the Hypnobirthing course with Charlotte I felt empowered about the birth of our baby. I felt more confident in my ability to birth our baby naturally and informed about the choices I could make during the process. During the course, we had the opportunity to practise breathing and relaxing techniques and discuss many aspects of birthing a baby which benefited us enormously. Charlotte continued her support to us following the course by coming to our home to go through some scripts which my husband and I really appreciated. Any skepticism I had about Hypnobirthing before doing this course has gone and I can't wait for the birth of our baby! ”
Leena, Warwickshire, First time mum, 2011

“She was so calm and it even appeared that she was enjoying it, completely the opposite of the first time without HypnoBirthing®!”
Jo, Leicester, birth companion for her sister 2009

“I am now looking forward to the birth of my daughter rather than dreading the inevitable pain. I now believe birth can be a painless and wonderful experience, Thank you so much.”
Cheryl, Leicester, fifth time Mum 2010

“Not only did it help my wife give birth to an 11lb baby at home as nature intended, but it has also taught me techniques to help me to get to sleep more rapidly”
Paul, Leicester - first time dad 2009

“We wanted to let you know that our beautiful baby boy arrived (without any inducement) on Saturday. We used the visualisation techniques and breathing techniques which worked so well that by the time we got to the hospital I was fully dilated! ”
Randa, Leicestershire, 2011

“I think every woman should give birth the HypnoBirthing® way!”
Kathryn, Leicester - first time mum 2010

“I went to see Charlotte in hope of turning my baby to the head down position from the breech flexed position (due to other complications, I had regular scans and know that she had been breech since 28 weeks!) I was a little nervous and not sure it would work before I went but Charlotte made me feel very relaxed and calm during my session. Three days later at my midwife appointment it appeared that my baby had turned into the head down position. I am confident this is a direct result of the hypnosis Charlotte did, as I had tried lots of other techniques and my baby had not turned. After experiencing this, I wish I had long enough left of my pregnancy to attend HypnoBirthing classes as I am sure that it would work for me; I will definatly be using the breathing techniques I was taught during my session to help during labour and to relax in future. ”
Laura, Wolverhampton, 2011

"His birth was such a fulfilling experience, I felt so relaxed and at peace with myself!"
Jeni, first time mum, Berlin 2010

"I have already recommended this to a couple of friends and have no hesitation in sending them to Charlotte. She is an amazing tutor, very friendly and calming. She has a fantastic voice for reading the scripts and I really looked forward to her visits. I was very disappointed when they finished!! Thank you Charlotte and Hypnobirthing for giving me a birth I will never forget (for a good reason this time!)"
Becky, Wigston, Leicester – second time Mum 2010

“Although I had wanted a baby for probably around the last ten years, the idea of childbirth had really kept the idea at bay. I don’t cope well with pain and need a general anesthetic just to have a filling at the dentist! My Mum always said that childbirth felt like taking your bottom lip and pulling it over a bowling ball!!!!That’s enough of a thought to put anyone off childbirth for life! One of my biggest fears about birthing was the possibility of tearing. Ouch! So when the desire to become a Mummy overtook the fear, I concluded that pain relief would have to do. Finally, in May 2010 we got pregnant. Inevitably, as the pregnancy progressed, I became more and more anxious and afraid of the looming labour. A neighbour mentioned that she had both her children without pain relief using the Hypnobirthing technique and would recommend it to every Mum-to-be…. So, I did a little research and decided to give it a try. My initial thoughts were that, even if the Hypnobirthing classes eased my apprehension and made me more relaxed about the pending labour, it was worth it and I would just have the pain relief when I got to the hospital. However, by the end of the classes, we truly knew that a drug free birthing was the right thing to do. And that a drug free birth is achievable. Freddie was born on 25th February 2011, in a birthing pool, with no drugs. I was happy, relaxed, alert, aware of my surroundings and most importantly, I was comfortable and in control throughout the birthing. When he was born, he was so alert that I knew we had given him the best possible start in life. And because we birthed naturally, my body was able to relax, allowing my natural hormones to be released and I did not tear at all, even though Freddie was born at a healthy 8lb9oz. The knowledge and confidence Charlotte gave us during our Hypnobirthing classes was invaluable. Not only did she empower us to have the best birthing experience possible, but she also offered us support and encouragement beyond the call of duty. We never felt alone. I would recommend Charlotte& Hypnobirthing to any Mum-to-be. ”
